LinkedIn award post template

An award post works when it is about the work, not the trophy. Say what you won, what it was for, and who shares the credit. Fill in the blanks below and copy the result, or copy one of the examples. It is free and needs no sign-in. To make it sound like you, innernote can write it in your voice from the same details.

Your details

Your post

We won award from who gave it.

The work behind it, in one line.

The credit belongs to the people who share the credit.

Thank you. Back to work tomorrow.

Free to copy. Nothing you type here is uploaded.

Want it to sound like you?

That is the template everyone gets. innernote can write the same post in your own voice, from the details you just typed. Free for 3 days, no card.

Award post examples

Three ways to say it. Copy one and change the details.

Short

Our team was named Customer Team of the Year.

The award is for getting our first reply down from two days to two hours. Six people did that, and I got to watch.

Thank you, all six.

Giving the credit

I was given the Founder Award at Northwind this week.

My name is on it, but the work was Sara's forecasting model and Daniel's patience with my questions about it.

Thank you both. I owe you lunch for a year.

What it took

We won Best New Product at the industry awards last night.

Eighteen months ago this product was a spreadsheet and one customer who kept asking for more. We built what she asked for.

Thank you to her most of all.

What do you write when you win an award?

Name the award and who gave it in the first line. Then say what the work was, because the award means nothing to a reader without it. Give the credit to specific people. An award post that is all thanks and no work reads as a trophy photo. One line about what it took makes it a story.
