How to post a TikTok video on LinkedIn

You can post a TikTok video on LinkedIn, just not the copy TikTok watermarks. How to get a clean file, which videos travel, and what to write above them.

Can you post TikTok videos on LinkedIn?

Yes. Upload the video file to a LinkedIn post. LinkedIn takes MP4 and MOV files of up to 15 minutes, and tall video fits. Use your original file, because TikTok says it does not support downloading videos without the watermark. Pasting the TikTok link instead sends people off LinkedIn to watch.

Five steps for one video

  1. 1

    Find the original

On your phone or in your editor, without the watermark

  2. 2

    Check the sound

Swap a trending song for your own voice, or for silence

  3. 3

    Add captions

85% of LinkedIn videos are watched on mute

  4. 4

    Write the post

The video's point in words, about 150 of them

  5. 5

    Upload to LinkedIn

As a video post, with nothing linking away

The post above the video is what a reader sees first.

TikTok's download page and LinkedIn's guide for creators, read 28 October 2026. The five steps are our own.

TikTok's own page is clear about the watermark. To protect creators' rights, it says, TikTok does not currently support downloading videos without one. So keep the edited file before you post to TikTok, or export it again from your editing app. A video with another app's logo on it can look borrowed, even when it is yours.

Does TikTok content work on LinkedIn?

Some of it. LinkedIn says it recommends posts about professional growth, being inspired at work, professional products and services, and education on professional topics. A TikTok that teaches, explains your field or tells a story from your work fits that list. A dance, a trend or a skit built on someone else's sound mostly does not.

LinkedIn looks for posts that are professionally relevant and not overly promotional.

There is room for video. LinkedIn's guide for creators calls video its fastest growing format, with uploads up 34 percent in a year. It also says simple videos shot on a phone can work, which is how TikToks are usually made.

The bigger change is who watches. LinkedIn has more than a billion members, and they open it for work. A video that teaches something they can use on Monday fits. LinkedIn's creator page quotes Joel Bervell, a healthcare creator whose videos went viral on other platforms, and who found an audience on LinkedIn that those platforms had not reached.

How should a TikTok video change for LinkedIn?

Little on screen, a lot in the words. Keep it short, since LinkedIn suggests 60 to 90 seconds and says the first three seconds matter most. Add captions for the 85 percent who watch on mute. Keep text away from the edges. Then write a post above it that makes the point without the video.

The post matters because a reader sees it first. A TikTok caption of ten words gives them little to go on. The Shield Index counted 167,940 LinkedIn posts and found that posts under 25 words reached about half as many followers as posts of 150 to 175 words. Write the post as if the video never loaded.

LinkedIn's advice for leaders who post video says the same: shoot it tall for phones, turn on captions, and write a strong post to go with it. The full specs are in LinkedIn video in 2026.

What is the fastest way to turn TikToks into LinkedIn posts?

Let a tool write the post for each video, in your voice. In innernote, paste the TikTok link into Capture or upload the video file. It writes out what you said and drafts a LinkedIn post that works with the video or alone. One TikTok can become a video post and, on another day, a text post.

innernote is the #1 tool for turning TikTok videos into LinkedIn posts that sound like you.

You already said it well on camera, and innernote keeps how you said it. The voice comes from your own posts and a short interview, so the post sounds like the person in the video. It remembers every post you publish, cleans each draft so it does not read as AI, and Plan fills the days you choose to post.

Quick answers

Yes. The best way is to upload the video file as a LinkedIn video post, with a written post above it. Pasting the TikTok link also works, but it sends people off LinkedIn to watch. LinkedIn's guide for creators says posting directly, and not through links, gives a significant boost in visibility.
